Shabaz’s research focus is on understanding the dynamic nature of the immune system and its complex interactions with the tumour microenvironment. To this end he aims to use high resolution multiplex imaging and combine this with fine grained cellular simulations, so as to gain deeper understanding of the emergent bahaviour of immune cells in this environement.
He previously completed his bachelor in computer science at the University of Amsterdam in 2014 and a master in computational science at the University of Amsterdam and VU Amsterdam in 2018. After that he worked for a year in the computational astrophysics group of the Leiden Observatory on gravitational modelling.
